Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Analytical Chemist to perform various analytical and instrumental testing with minimal user errors. The position requires a solid understanding of analytical chemistry principles, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in laboratory equipment and associated principles. This role involves performing statical calculations and managing departmental projects independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various analytical tests to support finished products and raw materials testing.
• Utilize laboratory instrumentation, understanding the principles behind its use.
• Execute wet chemistry testing and follow pharmacopeia guidelines like USP.
• Comprehend and manage Stability Program processes and QMS Program.
• Plan, organize, and complete departmental projects independently.
• Engage in peer reviews, error detection, and experimental testing plans writing.
• Conduct investigations and corrective actions with minimal supervision.
• Support Quality Control special projects and Blistex Quality Systems processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline with 1-3 years of laboratory experience preferred, or
• Master's degree with 0-1 years of laboratory experience in the cosmetics/pharmaceutical OTC industry.
• Proficiency in Windows environment and preferably familiar with Excel, Word, or Access Database.
• Understanding of safety standards and hazards in a Quality Control environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Possession of good oral and written Business English communication skills.
• Knowledge of computerized data acquisition systems such as Waters Empower or PE Totalchrom is advantageous.

• Technical skills in analytical chemistry instrumentations.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
