Position:

We are currently seeking a Collector I to be a part of a growing, established healthcare company.

Requirements:

• At least 2 year’s experience in credit and collection work
• Has a working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Act and state and federal laws concerning activities
• Ability to deal professionally, courteously, and efficiently with the public and to remain calm under stress
• Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding patients and strict maintenance of proper confidentiality on all such information

Responsibilities:

· Reviews status of outstanding accounts receivables and initiates collection action by contacting each account according to due date

· Reviews invoices, status reports and claims for accuracy

· Works with Payment Posters to correct any errors, including misapplied payments, reversed late charges, direct deposit errors, and over-payments from insurance errors

· Generates reports for management

· Performs other duties as assigned
