Senior Manager, Employee Communications – Sustainability & Foundation Programs (Contract)

Job Type:  Full-Time | Contract | On-site

Location: Purchase, NY 10577
Duration: July 7, 2025 – January 6, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Rate: $75/hr (W2)

About the Role:

A leading global food and beverage company is seeking a Senior Manager, Employee Communications – Sustainability & Foundation Programs for a high-impact contract role within its Corporate Affairs team. This position supports employee engagement and internal communications related to the company’s sustainability transformation initiative and philanthropic foundation.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in corporate communications and a passion for storytelling that highlights purpose-driven initiatives. You'll lead content strategy and internal messaging for programs that touch on sustainability, innovation, community impact, and employee engagement—connecting associates around the globe to the company’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Sustainability & Innovation Communications:
  • Develop and deliver internal content strategies aligned with global sustainability, R&D, and public affairs initiatives.

  • Drive storytelling and employee engagement efforts that highlight progress in environmental and innovation-focused programs.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to organize and execute global employee town halls and communications campaigns.

  • Partner with content and communications teams to amplify leadership visibility and strategic milestones.

Foundation & Social Impact Communications:
  • Create and implement communication plans that elevate foundation-led programs such as scholarships, volunteerism, and economic empowerment initiatives.

  • Engage global teams to spotlight key moments and success stories.

  • Support the foundation’s leadership visibility strategy through executive messaging and campaign support.

Integrated Responsibilities:
  • Align messaging across internal channels and global editorial calendars.

  • Build toolkits, talking points, and playbooks for internal stakeholders.

  • Measure campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights to improve content engagement.

  • Support cross-functional collaboration with social/digital, employee giving, and regional communications teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in internal communications or employee engagement.

  • Background in social impact, sustainability, science, or corporate philanthropy is preferred.

  • Proven success managing large-scale, strategic communications projects.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for a global internal audience.

  • Experience working with senior leadership and external agency partners.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
