Job Description

Responsible for stocking the housekeeping supplies for the various housekeeping functions in the hotel and cleaning the guest hallways and public areas. Essential Job Functions:

• Wipe down the vending areas in the guest corridors.
• Remove trash from the trash cans in the hallways, from the housekeeping carts, and from the guest rooms and deposit it in the dumpster.
• Thoroughly clean and vacuum the guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells.
• Dust light fixtures in the hallways, fire extinguisher boxes, railings, etc.
• Remove soiled linens from the housekeeping carts and take them to the laundry room to be cleaned using the laundry carts.
• Restock the carts with clean linens as needed by the room attendants.
• Remove dirty glasses from the guest rooms and take them to the dishwasher in the kitchen or housekeeping area for cleaning. Restock clean glasses as needed.
• Stock amenities and cleaning supplies in the storage area.
• Promptly and courteously deliver all items requested by guests within ten (10) minutes of their request. Once the guest is finished, return items to Housekeeping.

Marginal Functions: * Assist Room Attendants in cleaning rooms when needed at a specified time frame per room. Job, Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements:

• Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, and information, answer questions, and provide service as required.
• Lift and carry heavy boxes/loads of linens weighing approximately thirty (30) lbs.
• Bend, stoop, reach to vacuum, and perform cleaning duties.
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
• Easily handle linens, glasses, and amenities.
• Inspect public areas and restrooms and clean any area that requires immediate attention.
• Push heavy carts weighing approximately one hundred (100) pounds
• Complete other work duties assigned by management.
