This position is responsible for coordination of sales orders and work orders internally with different departments. The position liaisons with external customers for retrieval of invoices and necessary paperwork. Responsibilities include timely processing of work orders and sales orders to meet customers' expectations and departmental goals. The position works in a team environment and participates in continuous improvements activities. In the receiving function this position acts as liaison between purchasing, production planning, and quality personnel to ensure material requirements are met. Participates in shop floor activities with different functional groups to ensure timely material flow through the receiving and inspection process. Statuses purchase order receipts and bring issues to the attention of management, purchasing, and production planning personnel **Job Requirements** List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above. A. Investigates and resolves work order, purchase order, or inventory related issues working with appropriate functional personnel B. Works with other personnel in cross-functional process improvement teams for specified tasks assigned by management C. Keeps track, coordinates, and expedites part shortages with other departments D. Analyzes the backlog/reports/MRP to prioritize orders for processing in timely manner E. Releases Manufacturing Orders for allocation and printing F. Performs all Logistics related transaction including, creation of bill of lading, commercial invoices, or any other shipping documentation G. Coordinates with internal and external customers to resolve any issues, provide advance notifications, and retrieve invoices or related paperwork H. Tracks orders as per Customer Service or any other internal functions requests I. Responsible for accurate and timely transactions of all assigned orders in the system to ensure OTD goals are met. J. Tracks departmental KPI (Key Performance Indicators) K. Performs other duties as assigned **But what else? (advantages, specific features, etc.)** 1. Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic 2. Knowledge of work order generation and stockroom kit pull operations 3. Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, stockroom operations and shipping/receiving 4. Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001:2008 5. Ability to organize tasks, take initiative, and make process improvement recommendations 6. Ability to work with cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives 7. Ability to operate PC with knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software packages 8. Ability to operate Fax machine, scanner, and copier 1. Education and Experience: High School diploma/Associates degree from a recognized institution and a minimum of 3 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent professional experience 2. Physical Requirements: a. Ability to lift about 25 pounds b. Ability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time 3.
