Job Description

Maximo Technical Architect
Location: Remote (with occasional travel)
Length of contract: 12 months

 

Our client, a global IT Services and Consulting company, are hiring an experienced Maximo Technical Architect to join the team remotely on a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the successful design and delivery of enterprise asset management solutions using IBM Maximo, as well as ensuring high-quality solutions are delivered to clients in the utility and public sector.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Design and document scalable Maximo architectures tailored to client infrastructure and performance needs.
  • Define and enforce technical standards for coding, scripting, interfaces and configurations.
  • Collaborate with the Functional Lead to assess technical feasibility of requirements and validate development estimates.
  • Guide and support development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural designs and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues and oversee the configuration documentation.
  • Provide input into project planning, resource assignments and technical deliverables.
  • Support project status reporting and change management processes in coordination with the Project Manager.

Skillset

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; travel may be required.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in technical architecture and software delivery, preferably with IBM Maximo or similar EAM platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams across complex enterprise implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning (servers, clusters, JVMs etc.) and system integration.
  • Experience defining and implementing technical standards and development best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation and client communication skills.
