PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – OCOTILLO WELLS DISTRICT / OCOTILLO WELLS STATE VEHICLE RECREATION AREA

The reporting location for this position is 5172 Hwy 78 Borrego Springs, CA. 92004.  This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.  

The incumbent will lead seasonal staff. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for all facility maintenance and housekeeping tasks and will also assist with facility maintenance throughout the State Vehicle Recreation Area (SVRA).  We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, dependable, and dedicated individual to become a member of our crew.  

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.  

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.  Work Schedule will be Saturday through Wednesday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. 

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) , this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR .
