Role: SAS Data Analyst

Location: Onsite in McLean, VA

Duration: 6 months

Work Type: 1099/C2C/W2

Work Authorization: USC, GC, H1B, H4EAD only

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAS Data Analyst to support analytics and business process initiatives across Single-Family departments. The role involves collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, managing multiple concurrent projects, facilitating meetings, and delivering high-quality data analysis. You will bridge the gap between IT and business teams, ensuring data integrity, process improvements, and effective communication.

Your Impact:

• Cultivate and manage relationships across multiple Single-Family departments, including Operations application or business process owners, Loan Advisor Strategic Delivery and Single-Family Data.
• Interact and communicate effectively with key Business and IT partners at all levels.
• Facilitate and prepare for meetings including creating agendas, develop meeting materials, scribe meeting minutes and outline action items and next steps.
• Lead, support and prioritize multiple concurrent efforts in various capacities.
• Continuously improve processes that streamline knowledge of data to understand impacts of change.
• Prepare for meetings by establishing a clear objective, confirming attendee participation and creating meeting materials ahead of the discussion.
• Clearly outline and guide other’s data analysis approach and assumptions to verify efforts satisfy the objective and meet deliverable timelines. 
• Analyze, design, develop and execute tasks that meet the objective.
• Provide support to application owners to bring data expertise from IT into the business.
• Perform impact assessments and proposing issue resolution and process improvements.
• Ensure deliverables are completed on time with accurate information requiring limited oversight.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in SAS data analysis, business process modeling, data management, or operations.
• College degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
• Understanding of Cloud technology (AWS) and data management (Data Lake, Datawarehouse)
• Ability to operate as a self-motivated, pro-active, and result-driven problem solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and analyze IT business processes and data architecture diagrams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions, SQL, JSON, XML, SAS, or Python
  

• Have the ability to tell ‘the story’ about the data and the end-to-end data lifecycle as it relates to customer impacts, including; data lineage, valid values, data transformations and downstream consumers within and across applications and services.
• Continuously learn while partnering with others to overcome obstacles. 
• Demonstrate an ability to test and learn while taking calculated risks and managing expectations of how and when tasks will be completed.
• Demonstrate an ability to learn, share knowledge, lead and motivate others.
• Adept in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse personalities.
• Understand the business and our customers.
• Have an attention to detail with an ability to clearly outline a task’s objective, approach and results.
