About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team and contribute meaningfully to the development of a scalable and efficient finance function. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the monthly close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
As part of a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment, the ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who is eager to take ownership, drive improvements, and help lay the groundwork for sustainable financial operations as the company scales.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee revenue recognition processes, including compliance with ASC 606, contract review, and deferred revenue tracking.
  • Manage and reconcile Stripe transactions, including payouts, chargebacks, fees, and integration with the ERP system.
  • Provide monthly analysis of financial variances, identifying trends and areas for further investigation.
  • Manage general ledger activities and execute a timely and accurate monthly close process.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Perform and own bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Support financial statement audits and act as a liaison with external auditors.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reduce the close timeline.
  • Review transactional coding for accuracy and consistency across departments and entities.
  • Have a strong understanding of sales tax remittance and filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and correct submissions while collaborating with a third-party provider for sales tax compliance.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting or high-growth environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly as it pertains to revenue recognition.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Looker and/or SQL is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite highly preferred.
  • Experience working with Stripe, Airbase, and document management platforms like Egnyte is strongly valued.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Why Join Us?

  • Be a foundational member of the accounting team and play a key role in building processes that support our rapid growth.
  • Gain exposure to cross-functional projects and modern financial tools.
  • Work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment that values transparency, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Enjoy a flexible work culture, competitive compensation, and opportunities for career development and advancement.
