Small Business UnderwriterLocation: Knoxville, TN(Hybrid work schedule available: three days in-office, two days remote)

About the Role

As a Small Business Underwriter, you will play a key role in building and managing a profitable book of business. You'll evaluate and select risks, set appropriate pricing, and maintain strong relationships with agents and insureds—all while contributing to business growth and success.

What You'll Do

Make a direct impact on business profitability and growth.
Underwrite, determine pricing, and rate policy endorsements.
Manage your book of business in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with agents and policyholders.
Participate in a structured training program, including mentorship, classroom instruction, and self-study.

What We're Looking For

Prior experience in sales, relationship management, or insurance is a plus but not required.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to assess risk effectively.
A customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify needs and match them with the right products and services.
