Veterinary Sonographer

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is looking for a Veterinary Sonographer to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. 

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists of Mansfield is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting and educating the veterinary community. We are currently seeking a skilled Veterinary Sonographer to join our team and contribute to the high standard of care our hospital is known for. Experience & Skills Requirements:   

• RDMS or RDCS licensing in Sonography is highly recommended.
• Veterinary Technicians with RVT, CVT, or LVT credentials are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in veterinary or animal healthcare settings is preferred.
• Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and acquiring diagnostic images to be interpreted by veterinary specialists.
• Compassionate and patient-focused, with excellent collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Highly motivated to provide outstanding diagnostic support to the veterinary team.
• Capable of working independently and managing priorities in a clinical setting.

Role Responsibilities:  

• Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging for various small animal cases.
• Ideally, perform high-quality echocardiography imaging for various small animal cases.
• Work closely with veterinarians to gather relevant imaging studies to ensure proper patient care.
• Operate ultrasound equipment with precision and care, maintaining equipment functionality.
• Communicate findings clearly and concisely to on-site veterinary professionals and off-site to veterinary radiologists for interpretation.
• Document sonographic results and provide comprehensive reports.
• Stay informed on advancements in veterinary sonography techniques and technology.

About the Hospital  

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists Mansfield is staffed with emergency veterinarians and technicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. All emergency clinicians are well-versed in emergency procedures and surgery. We are able to perform emergency procedures and surgeries at any time of the day or night. We also provide medical oncology and radiation oncology, providing comprehensive cancer care under one roof.
