Position Details: Special Education Teacher

Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Lakeville, MN
Duration: Start Date: August 25th 2025 End Date: May last week / June 1st week.
Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
Position Type: Contract
Working Hours: 35 to 37.5 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
Student Age Group: Elementary through high school (Multiple openings available)
Case Load: 8-10 students approximately

Responsibilities: Special Education Teacher

Teach in center-based classrooms from elementary through high school.
Work primarily with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD).
Manage classrooms with 8-10 students approximately with 1-3 paraprofessionals.
Set up the environment and curriculum to support a diverse range of student needs.
Differentiate lessons and respond appropriately to student behaviors.
Establish behavior expectations and plans.
Communicate effectively with parents, related services staff, and paraprofessionals.
Direct the work of paraprofessionals effectively.
Produce compliant special education paperwork using the SpEd Forms platform.

Qualifications: Special Education Teacher

Possess a Special Education license in the State of Minnesota.
Tier 3 or Tier 4 License in ASD or DCD preferred.
